BioBlitz on the Prairie

Event Description:

Birds, Bugs, and Blooms, oh my! Join us for this family-fun event, a great way to
experience one of the properties of the amazing Prairie Corridor on Haines Branch.
A Bioblitz is an intense period of biological surveying in an attempt to record all the living
species within a designated area, so we’ll be counting as many living things in 3 hours as we
can! We’ll have four teams counting: a bird team, insect team, plants team, and stream &
everything else team. A special bird banding demonstration will start off the day! See the
schedule below, water and snacks will be available. Bring your own water bottle to refill.
Registration for the bioblitz is preferred by emailing Jason at scp@audubon.org.
