Ay Mariposa East Coast Premiere

Event Description:

July 18 is the East Coast premiere of Ay Mariposa, a new documentary about three characters living on the US-Mexico border, directly in the path of the border wall. The documentary explores the close ties between human communities and the natural world, and the threat of divisions upon the borderlands landscape. The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the film's director and two main characters: Zulema Hernandez, a lifelong migrant worker and advocate for human rights and wildlife; and Marianna Trevino Wright, director of the National Butterfly Center.
