Event Description:
Hispanic Access Foundations Interns at Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge plan to engage Groundwork Elizabeth youth with the environment by exposing them to wildlife and its’ surroundings. These interns will host around 15 to 20 urban youth by educating them with live birds from the Raptor Trust following up with a bird watch. After lunch, the interns will proceed with an educational presentation about Julia Carabias Lillo, a Mexican Ecologist and Environmentalist then will follow up with a special showing of the documentary Leche y Miel. The event with close off with an hour of archery.
