This event will emphasize the intersectionality of all communities in regards to civil rights as we share a day of learning and educating towards the incarceration of Japanese-Americans during World War II. The day will begin with a showing of Stand Up For Justice: A Ralph Lazo Story. Lazo was a Mexican-American who chose to go to and remain in Manzanar War Relocation Center with his Japanese-American friends during WWII. The screening will be followed by a tour of Block 14 which consists of two barracks, one latrine and a mess hall exhibit.
