Reimagining Big Basin Hike - Latino Conservation Week

Event Description:

In celebration of Latino Conservation Week and the one-year anniversary of the reopening of Big Basin. Saved By Nature in collaboration with GreenLatinos, CA State Parks, Parks California and Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks will host a hike on July 22nd from 10AM – 2PM! There will be fun for the entire family including an educational guided hike, activities, food, and refreshments! Stop by partner tables for free give-a-ways and to learn more about local fish species, conservation efforts, and The Reimagining of Big Basin Redwoods State Park. The guided redwood hike is also available in Spanish.

Distance: 2.37 mi.

Elevation Gain: 315 ft.

Type: Loop

Lunch: Will be provided. Vegetarian options available.

Items to bring:

  • Layers + comfortable clothing (check the weather before leaving)
  • Snacks (we’ll have extra in case you forget)
  • Water Bottle
  • Hat and/or sunscreen
  • Camera

Parking: Big Basin Parking Lot - 21600 Big Basin Way, Boulder Creek, CA 95006

We'll take care of your parking fee.

Bathrooms: Yes, there are bathrooms at the parking lots.
