Event Description:
Veggie Mijas DC Chapter will be hosting our members at DC Greens' educational and intergenerational farm, The Well at Oxon Run for Latino Conservation Week! Chapter members, as well as anyone apart of our DMV community, will be able to join the staff from The Well to help support overall grounds & field maintenance, a creek clean up at Oxon Run Creek, get a tour of farm, and join the Veggie Mijas DC Chapter organizers for a plant-based soul catered lunch from Elife!
**SIGN UP ON OUR EVENTBRITE TO RSVP!**
We will begin with getting to know each other, give offerings and gratitude to the Piscataway land The Well lives on, and have a tour of the space before we get our hands connected to the land. Event will be held held Saturday, July 15th 12-2:30pm. Please arrive a bit early because we will promptly start at 12:00pm!
Please come dressed with sneakers you don't mind getting dirty or work boots. We suggest you wear long sleeves or bring sunscreen because The Well is outdoors, with ample amount of shade with take breaks! Bring a full water bottle but water bottles will be available on site.
There is bathroom (porta-johns) on the site.
Parking is free at The Well at Oxon Run. If you are traveling by bus or metro, the bus stops are the A2 and W1 on Atlantic St SE & Valley Ave SE or the Congress Heights Metro Station.
