Event Description:

El Grupo de Bosques y Humedales del Sierra Club se ha comprometido a aumentar la diversidad, la equidad y la inclusión de nuestro grupo para promover los impactos sociales y ambientales. Debido a que operamos en los condados de Cook y Lake, donde hay una gran población de personas de color y familias hispanohablantes, queremos crear oportunidades para que participen y lideren nuestras iniciativas ambientales.

 

Tendremos nuestra primera reunión en español el sábado 17 de julio de 1:00 a 2:30 pm a través de Zoom para hablar sobre cómo las personas pueden ayudar a proteger a las monarcas a través de sus jardines en colaboración con nuestro Equipo Monarca. También estaremos intercambiando ideas sobre actividades ambientales en las que estarían interesados en participar a través del Grupo de Bosques y Humedales. Regístrese en bit.ly/Monarca717. The Woods and Wetlands Group of the Sierra Club is committed to increasing the diversity, equity, and inclusion of our group in order to advance social and environmental impacts. Because we operate in Cook and Lake Counties, where there are a large population of people of color and Spanish-speaking families, we want to create opportunities for them to participate and lead in our environmental initiatives.

 

We will be having our first Spanish meeting Saturday, July 17th from 1:00 to 2:30 pm via Zoom  in order to talk about how people can help protect the monarchs through their gardens in collaboration with our Monarch Team. We will also be brainstorming environmental activities that they would be interested in participating in through Woods and Wetlands group. Register at bit.ly/Monarca717.
