Event Description:

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED **Registration Closes on Sunday, July 18th,12pm MST**

During this limited in-person walk about through unassuming beaver habitat in Colorado, Dr. Aaron Hall will point out how these ecosystem engineers change waters, enrich the ecosystem, and make space for species to return to habitats. Aaron will also highlight his work with beaver relocation and Defenders incentive program to coexist with Beaver in Colorado.

From 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19th, we will be hiking upstream on Cherry Creek Trail where Aaron will be pointing out abandoned beaver dams and lodges, lots of chewed trees and fenced trees that have been installed for coexistence measures.

You will need to bring a small backpack or bag to hold snacks, water, a face mask, sunscreen, chapstick/lip balm with spf, anti mosquito products of your choice (ie - mosquito spray), and layers if necessary. We will definitely be venturing off the designated trail, so boots or closed toe shoes would be advised (no sandals).

This event is free! Beaver enthusiasts of all abilities and age 8+ are welcome with an adult.
